Rotary is made up of like-minded people who want to better the community and build understanding and peace in the world. Rotary is a non-political, non-religious and humanitarian organisation.
There are approximately 1.2 million Rotary club members of more than 32,000 Rotary clubs in 200 countries. Since 1947, the Rotary Foundation has awarded almost £1 billion in humanitarian and educational grants, which are administered at a local level.
Banff Rotary Club has over 20 members, and it exists to serve the local and global community. Over the years the organisation has organised and participated in a large number of local charity events. These include organising the Vintage & Classic Car Day, the local community Primary Schools Quiz and Texas Scramble Golf Tournament, as well as assisting with others such as the local Annual Fireworks Display and Macduff Strathspey and Reel Society Concert.
The organisation distributes monies raised to both local and international charities including local youth organisations, international disaster relief organisations and international education charities such as Books Abroad. Rotary has played a key role in the world in eradication of polio.

Banff & District Round Table - 947
The Round Table as a non-religious, non-political and non-sectarian organisation for men aged between 18 to 45 and its mission is to offer men the opportunity to have fun, help their community and develop new skills.
Banff and District Round Table-947 was formed in the 1960’s and it has over the years been supporting and organising community events like the Annual Firework display, raft races, duck races, it’s a knock out, etc. Through its fundraising and sponsored ventures (although challenging, usually great fun!) it has been able to offer some financial support to many local groups and individuals. But most of all it has offered its members the opportunity to enjoy activities like Karting, Paintballing, clay pigeon shooting, etc, along with many social events, meals out, wine tastings, whisky tours etc. We are always looking for new members and look forward to meeting people from different walks of life!
